The Saints had 13 points going into the 4th quarter. Saints scored 2 TDs in the last 3 minutes of the game to make it look respectable.

Their defense gave up 20 points to the Chiefs, who scored on a defensive TD and a 2 point conversion return.

So yea, since week 10

The Saints put up 19 points in the 4th quarter, the same as NE did in the SB. Atlanta was hanging on for dear life in Week 17. I listened to 680 Atlanta sportstalk Monday. Former Falcon Finneran was on the show and he may have offered some insight into Shanahan's play-calling in the 4th qtr of the SB. Finneran ran into Shanny in the special parking lot after the Week 17 game and Shanny said when you are facing an elite QB like Brees, you never stop trying to score. I wonder if that mindset carried over to the SB where the elite-of-the-elite (Brady) was getting hot.

Did you watch the game?

The Saints put up 19 in the 4th quarter and also threw a pick.

The Saints cut it to 13 with 2:47 left in the game. The Saints then recovered an onside kick. The Saints then cut it to 6 with 39 seconds on the clock.

So for the Saints to pull off the comeback, they would have had to recover 2 onside kicks and score 3 TDs in under 3 minutes. Even if the Saints recover the onside kick, they still have to score in about 30 seconds with zero timeouts left.
