Last time I looked, Goodell won the appeal. So the shirt is kinda dumb. "This guy did his job and the court agreed. Hur dur look at the shirt though."

And Brady won the Super Bowl. Perhaps the vitriol towards Goodell wouldn't have been so bad had it not been for the fact that he came off as having it out for the Patriots. The Wells Report was shaky science and has since been debunked by multiple physicists. Mythbusters even did an episode on it and concluded that a deflated football actually would have HURT Brady's performance more than aided it.
And then you have the fact that Goodell deliberately avoided going to games involving New England both in 2015 and 2016.
So, yeah, while Goodell won the battle over the appeal....Brady won the war by winning the Super Bowl and capturing its MVP award in the process.
