Well it was meant to be a bit ridiculous. I find many religions abhorrent, but I don't see people calling for them not to be admitted due to their backwards arse belief systems.
I really like mormons, and think in general they are great people. But that has been my experience with muslims too.

I dont care what they believe as long as the values conform to our standards.

Well, they weren't in the mainstream church or they would have absolutely been excommunicated. That is a strict no-go.
