re: I'm offended

It's ironic, really, despite what he once was, Harry Belefonte is an angry, racist, bigot.

A few of his gems:

Regarding Colin Powell: “In the days of slavery, there were those slaves who lived on the plantation and there were those slaves that lived in the house. You got the privilege of living in the house if you served the master. Colin Powell’s permitted to come into the house of the master. When Colin Powell dares to suggest something other than what the master wants to hear, he will be turned back out to pasture.”

Blaming white America for black America's gun violence: “White America discusses the Constitutional issue of [gun] ownership, while no one speaks for the consequences of our racial carnage.

Belafonte calls Obama’s political opponents a “corrupt infestation,” whom Obama should jail like a Third world dictator. The Nazis also spoke of the Jews as a human “infestation.”

Thoughts on racism in Hollywood: Tarzan. Yeah, the Lord of the Jungle is Hollywood’s most offensive racist.

You could write a book on this racist's rants. But he's treated as a hero by many, and put on the Superbowl pregame show talking about the flag. I imagine he hates the flag.
