Damn...they generated some fricking talent.
I miss when Grambling, Alcorn State, MVSU and the others were the unknown jewels of college football.

there's a cautionary tale there...
the SEC, etc. started accepting black players and put them into the league, and suddenly there was less special about HBCUs.
a few years ago, Alcorn St. had a white head coach, and they won, and he took a better job. The SWAC also started playing rent-a-win games against the SEC, after not doing so for years.
When they did this, they became just like every other FCS conference.
