its amazing how fast Islam took hold and spread from Mecca across the Arabian peninsula. This was only about 150 years or so after the prophet Mohammed even received the revelations from god for the Koran. Pretty amazing. That 400-500 years or so is considered the golden age of Islam, just think If it had continued to have that unmitigated growth? I'm sure the fact Europe with the dark ages had a coorelation to the boom and slowing of Islam.
