contrast this with Bowie who for years had an employee with an active presence here who clearly was able to gain customers for the shop. or interstate guns in Hammond with the same thing
gun shops are weird for some reason. the worst customer service experiences of my life have all been gun shops. for whatever reason there's a fairly common attitude about them and their staffs that the customer should just buy and do what they say to buy and do, or they will move on to the next guy
when you find places like Bowies and interstate that at least try to be normal businessmen it's a shock to the system

That's because "working" around guns usually attracts a certain personality type (like the no-nonsense "my way of highway" types).
Usually the younger guys are more chill behind the counter, but some of the 35+ aged guys can be unbearable with their pseudo macho persona. Those types need to understand that most repeat customers have forgotten more about guns than they know and should some respect.
