Seems like he had an offer and didn't commit. So they offered someone else and they committed. Bama didn't wait and wasn't playing around.

Its a hard lesson to learn, buts its become a hardcore business.

If someone offers you your dream job, you don't hold out and wait for other offers, especially when the other offers absolutely can't offer you anything more.

As long as they're still getting 5 star 300 lb DTs over there and are running a 3-4 I don't see him ever contributing much to them anyway. He'd thrive better in a 4-3 scheme.

That's not the story I read. I read he committed and was told to wait to sign. Minutes before the signing an assistant at Bama called Parks coach and told him there wasn't room.
To throw a wrench into the Bama not having room, they accepted LaByran Ray's LOI after they talked Parks into greyshirting. It's funny how the story yesterday, as it unfolded, looks bad on Saban and Co. Yet, you read them now and Parks sheds this completely different light.

According to the story on NSD which was on satellite radio, Parks committed last summer while at the Eifel Tower in Paris...

I did not catch how the rest of it played out.
