I would argue last Spring when the American populace decided Hillary and Sanders would be the voice of the left and Trump would be the voice of the right.
Of course, this was after eight years of an imperialistic, power-usurping Presidency of Obama and after eight years of an imperialistic, power-usurping Presidency of Bush.

I disagree, no good guys were in the race in November. The bad guys won in the summer, when the good guy had an army of protestors at his back and undeniable evidence he had been cheated in his hand, and the good guy gave up the good fight and just bent over and took it.
