Wireless isn't there yet and there will always be a need to hardwire some things. I would say put some plastic tube in the wall so that you can change things out easily in the future. I'm building in the next 2 years and will go that route.

Until it does die, no sense in handicapping yourself. Depending upon the size of the home, upstairs/down and outdoor/patio, running Ethernet for multiple routers is absolutely essential. It's a very low cost investment and it's return is obvious.

USB outlets, whole home vacuum, pre wire for security, Cat 6 pulled through the house, and try to use smart switches or WiFi Bulbs where possible to control zones with Alexa. Which you should already own.
