All I mean by that statement is that of the records that existed during Jesus' life, none of them mention him. The gospels were written many years (some hundreds of years) later. It is not unreasonable to question whether Jesus even existed. Just because the likely-bastardized oral history eventually became text, and just because 1000 years later, Mohammed mentioned Jesus in the Koran, does not prove that Jesus lived.

That's all we're saying. Doesn't mean Jesus did NOT exist. Just covering the bases. The historical evidence is very weak.
