Just found out he died Friday after seeing his picture in the obituaries of the paper. He was from Baton Rouge or Wilson Louisiana depending on who you ask. He was one cool dude and will be missed. He had a hit song that sold over 40K units in the mid 1990's. Here it is for those who want a listen. See you on the other side Nero!

My friend Henry Turner said that he died from fluid on his lungs. He always had a diabetic problem but it sounds like maybe pneumonia?

Yeah, saw Kyper post about him on FB a few days back. I did a talent show with him back in the mid 90s. He was one of the first BR Rappers I remember hearing.

He was from Wilson??? I had no idea. I grew up a few miles from there in Ethel. Very cool.

RIP Nero

Yes. MC Nero was born and raised in Wilson LA. He was in my class and we rode the same bus. He beat box on the bus and I would sing little short rhyming phrases. I lost contact with him after we graduated. I heard about his success as a rapper and tried to locate him but then he passed on.
