I am a mechanic and damn near every customer of mine that has this motor has had the lifter collapse. shite, even 3 of my fellow employees have had the post 07 model 5.3's and all 3 of theirs have had the issue. Swapping out the cam and installing LS7 lifters and deactivating the AFM is the way to go.
