Get over it. Miles problem was never recrutiing and having Austin Thomas is a plus.

I agree that Miles was a very good recruiter. Coach O does have a different style which I am enjoying.

Miles problem was recruiting needs. We would have 5 WR's and 5 DB's but no OT's or a few Dlinemen. Coach O looks to be recruiting and filling needs with great players. Next year will be the real test.

I have to disagree here, Miles did have some issues in recruiting. Miles didn't hit all the areas of need every year and we were always short on quality depth at a position or several positions. He also didn't do a very good job in keeping guys here after their 3rd year, even if they weren't high draft picks with the exception of last year. QB recruiting wasn't the best under Miles either. We also sucked at competing with Bama for recruits, including our own homegrown recruits. Did he do exceptionally well abesulutly he did but to compete for championships you need to stack your deck every year especially at positions of need, specifically on the lines of scrimmage and we didn't always do that very well under Miles. We missed on tons of talent over the years that frankly if we would of gotten, we would probably have another ship or two. Miles was also terrible at having quality backup plans for recruits so that if we missed on one we replaced him with another just as good or better now he did hit on some of these but not enough IMO. This staff is going to flip that script and make LSU the place to be or we will just replace you school. IMO we will start to see more quality commits early in the process because these recruits will know that if that spot isn't taken it will be filled very quickly. They will have to balance this so that we get the very best we can but I trust O knows exactly what he's doing and will be much more aggressive instead of the passive type recruiting we've seen from Miles. Yes we want you, you are our top guy but we need commits so if you like what we offer let's get rolling. Results will of course help with this and I believe we will see positive results on the field as well. GT
