Given the amount of territory ISIS still has, I think peace talks at this point are premature, if the goal is actually to have a lasting peace in Syria. The Turkish Army has secured quite a bit of territory in a relatively short time, which also could throw a wrench into a long term peace deal. Turkey's historical sphere of influence on it's southern end extends all the way to Baghdad, which is also included in Greater Iran. The competition between Persian and Turkic peoples for control of Mesopotamia is quite old, with the current demarcation closely resembling the boundaries decided in the Treaty of Zuhab in the 17th century.
I honestly don't think any of the powers at the table will allow ISIS to exist as it does at the moment. And with the way the war has gone, I honestly believe peace at this point is merely a cessation of hostilities in a much larger series of conflicts.
