I think there are people who can back me on that. Coon dogs rides on top of the tool box. Coon dog also has a damn good life.

People are out of fricking control with this dog shite. An old man I know had the police show up at his house one night because some subdivision wife Facebook warriors called and said he was letting his dogs freeze to death.

Dogs ain't people.

Dog getting a ride and a breeze. I see no problem.

Now, if you're riding a horse on I-95 trying to make a better life for yourself...

Here's how Opie rolls. His life would be a miserable place if he couldn't ride back there.

I'm in your head like that? It's your mom I've got tied up, not a dog.

FWIW I believe you. Seen it a bunch. I never did that with mine but, yes, they're perfectly safe up there and seem to like it.

looks like he's enjoying it as much as my 16 year old lab Belle(RIP) used to...she would fall asleep in that exact position...nose to the wind...

Careful with that. Can cause eye irritation.

I can see allowing a dog to ride in the back when you're traveling around the farm, or a hunting area, going 10mph or so on dirt roads. Surely they enjoy those trips. But don't claim to be a good owner or that you love your dog if you allow the dog to ride like that in city traffic or out on the highway. You're full of shite.

"According to the Humane Society of the United States, 100,000 dogs are killed each year in accidents involving riding in truck beds. In addition, veterinarians see numerous cases of dogs being injured because they jumped out or were thrown from the bed of a pickup truck. If these dogs are lucky enough to still be alive, broken legs and joint injuries are among the most common types of damage that they sustain and often result in amputation."
