Eisenberg does not "get" Luthor. He has a rollicking good time as a paintless Joker (or is that pointless?) - but the simmering hatred, or if you prefer, icy menace of the comic book Luthor just isn't there. I would equate the real Luthor with a much younger George Soros type - a venomous spider at the heart of his web, pulling strings, arranging things to his total advantage, waiting for the exact right moment to strike! Eisenberg is just not that Luthor.
