There are no games tonight for state schools, but tomorrow is a busy day as every school in the OP is in action. We also have one game featuring two state schools squaring off against each other.

LSU (1-5) is on the road to take on Arkansas (3-3). LSU has lost 4 in a row but showed a little life last game.

Tulane (1-5) hosts Cincinnati (6-0) in New Orleans. Cincinnati is the only undefeated team in AAC play and this would be a big upset for the Green Wave should they pull off a win.

Louisiana Tech (5-1) matches up with North Texas (0-6) in Ruston. This is a game that the Bulldogs should win and if they do, it would extend their winning streak to 4.

ULL (2-3) travels to face Texas State (3-2). The Cajuns had a rough home stand last week going 0-2 and look to get things back on track tomorrow.

ULM (0-5) will also be in Texas to face UT-Arlington (3-2). ULM is still looking for their first Sun Belt win as they were painfully close to winning their last two games.

The in state match up features Northwestern St (1-4) traveling to Lake Charles to take on McNeese (3-3). McNeese tries to get a winning streak going after winning their last game Wednesday, while Northwestern St tries to get something going after dropping their last game.

Nicholls (3-3) takes on Lamar (3-3) in Thibodaux. Nicholls looks to get some separation from a team they're currently tied with as well as picking up a second straight win.

UNO (5-1) travels north to take on Central Arkansas (3-3). UNO is playing good ball right now and looks to remain on top of the Southland standings.

Southeastern (4-2) hosts Houston Baptist (3-4). Southeastern has won two in a row and is looking to keep it rolling on Saturday.

Southern (4-2) goes on the road to face Alabama A&M (1-4). This looks like a game that the Jags should win as they look to hold their second place spot in the SWAC.

And finally there is Grambling (2-4) who play at home against Jackson State (3-3). Grambling lost both games on the road last week and they look to get a win back at home.

Overall it was a winning weekend for state schools as the teams combined for a 7-5 record overall on Saturday.

LSU couldn't break out of their slump as they dropped another one to Arkansas on Saturday 86-99. This is LSUs fifth straight loss and drops them to 1-6 in SEC play.

Tulane also lost to Cincinnati on Saturday by a score of 61-78. Cincinnati is a good team so this outcome wasn't shocking, Tulane drops to 1-6 in the American.

Louisiana Tech kept their winning streak going as they handled North Texas 81-57. Louisiana Tech has now won four in a row and they hold on to their second place spot at 6-1 in CUSA.

ULL snapped a two game skid as they won at Texas State 79-73. The win puts the Cajuns back at .500 in the Sun Belt at 3-3.

ULM dropped their 6th consecutive conference game as they lost on the road to UT-Arlington 55-71. The Warhawks are now 0-6 in conference.

Northwestern St won the only in state matchup of the weekend as they beat McNeese in Lake Charles by a score of 78-65. Northwestern St has now won two of their last three to get to 2-4 in conference while McNeese drops to 3-4 in Southland play.

Nicholls lost at home to Lamar on Saturday 76-87. The loss drops Nicholls to 3-4 in the Southland.

UNO kept their good play going as they went to Central Arkansas and won 81-63. This win moves UNO to 6-1 in conference and keeps them sitting on top of the Southland standings.

Southeastern took care of Houston Baptist winning 83-71 in Hammond. Southeastern ups their winning streak to three straight games and improves to 5-2 in the league.

Southern pulled out a close against Alabama A&M winning 53-52. Southern continues to hold on to second place in the SWAC as they improve to 5-2 in conference.

And finally Grambling got back in the win column as they beat Jackson State by a score of 72-57. This win snapped a two game losing streak for Grambling and moved them to 3-4 in SWAC play.
