Another rough night for state schools as in state teams went 1-3 last night.

ULL lost at home to Georgia State 86-101 to drop to 2-3 in conference. The Panthers put on a shooting clinic shooting over 60% for the floor and over 50% from three.

ULM lost another really close game at home against Georgia Southern 60-62. Warhawks are still winless in conference at 0-5 but have been really close to breaking through in their last two games.

Grambling stayed on the road for a second consecutive game and came up short against Prairie View A&M losing 82-94. Grambling is now 2-4 in league play.

The lone win of the night belonged to Southern who beat Mississippi Valley State at home by a score of 87-81. Southern is now 4-2 in league play and is in second place in the conference.

ETA: There are no in state teams in action tonight. There will be a lot of games involving state schools on Wednesday.
