He hasn't been one of the most talked about LB in recent weeks, with the talk about Gay, Phillips, Brooks, Chaisson, and even Smith. What % chance do we have with him?

I would add Chaisson to that list.

That's our dream finish at LB, but I don't see them ending with 5 total.

If you can finish with those 5 you convince someone to gray shirt!

I like Phillips but like Taylor just as much. I hope we pull him he reminds of Beckwith in terms of size and play recognition. He's also a big hitter/run stuffer. We definitely need that in this class.

It would probably be best to finish with 3 ILB this year rather than 4 tho. It will be incredibly hard to get any ILB in the next 2 classes if we land 4 top ILB. Don't want to have to go through the same thing every 3 years.

Next year 2 of our top ILB targets will be Teraja Mitchell (#1 ILB who always talks up LSU) and most likely Damone Clark from Southern Lab. If we land those 2 next year and Phillips, Gay and Queen this year, we will be smelling like roses at ILB for a while.

Chaisson doesn't really count. He's a hand in the dirt type of LBer

He will be used as a stand up pass rusher. He's been considered a LB since we switched to a 3-4, just like a lot of the DT's we recruit are considered DE's for us.

Thankfully he's uncommitted so we don't have to worry about saban or butch shutting down his visit..

If there's one thing I've learned from this year, Depth means nothing to these kids. Plus there's no guarantee we are going to keep a linebacker just because he's from Louisiana. Take what we can.

I say go all out for the uncommitted guys, add Taylor add Brooks add Gay, then recruit like hell to get LBs next year. Looking at numbers is what lost us ignont, reid & phillips in the 1st place.

I don't believe numbers lost us Ignont,Reid or Phillips we put all our hopes into Moses and Allen. Taylor is okay and has alot of work to do, but is good get.

By not giving them commitable offers when they wanted to commit seems like a numbers issue, whether it be EE spots or LB spots. Boy i Really hope we get Taylor.
