Watching that flashback video only makes me wonder more why everyone hates the prequels. I thoroughly enjoyed ever Star Wars movie and I kind of feel bad for the people who are so wrapped up in geekdom that they can't appreciate them.

Bc with a little effort they could've have been really good. I believe the acting was so bad due to the actors performing in front of a green screen. It affected all of them, and made all of them wooden. These are not all bad actors.
The other issue is the dialogue. Just awful writing.
The story lines could have been better and all that. But if Lucas had simply wrote better dialogue and not gotten so carried away with his CGI universe which made everything look artificial and affected the acting, they would've been good.

That flashback video was as good or better than any scene Lucas put together in the prequels. That's probably why they are so loathed. Some guy on the internet did a better job.
