We had this problem with my daughter sometime during her high school years. She wouldn't even bring her dirty clothes down stairs. One day when I walked by and saw a 3 foot high pile of dirty clothes, I said enough. I took the door off its hinges. It worked. Teenage girls want a door on their room.

my dad did that to my brother. Took the fricking door off his room. Bro then managed to solve the problem in a weekend after ignoring it for the previous six months.
