I also won't hold his lakers stint against him.

I like dantoni and his system. He simply requires an elite point guard to run it.

He also needs buy-in from his players, and Kobe & Melo weren't ever going to run his system like he wants it. I actually think both guys could have done it, considering their supreme talent, but it would have required a drastic change in how they played, and neither was willing.

Harden said "frick yea, lets do it!" when D'Antoni pitched him. He's also alot younger and less entrenched in his ways than the other 2 were when they were with D'Antoni.
