LSU's possible QB moves

Brennan needs to redshirt next year. Get his physicality up. No reason to burn a eligible year on the bench.
Lowell also needs to redshirt. Get adjusted to the speed of college football, rehab and strengthen knee, come out in 2018 competition strong.
I think McMillan will transfer unless he likes to sit on the bench. Don't see him competing with Scott Brennan or Lowell in 18'
By 2019, I see either Brennan or Lowell transferring out because they didn't win the competition. Both too talented and one will get pissed they aren't playing. As much as I like Brennan here, I think he will be most suspect to go somewhere with an air raid type offense if he doesn't earn the start.
Just my opinion. What's everyone thinking?

Mcmillian knew he had a 2 percent chance of ever starting here when he signed. He wont go anywhere

Whens the last time a 4 star qb recruit redshirted?

Happens all the time. Brennan most likely will redshirt unless we really need him.

I don't see us carrying 6 scholarship quarterbacks on the roster next Fall. Wonder if Canada will look into moving McMillian.

Depends on circumstances.
I think Etling has peaked and is nothing more than a gamer (makes good decisions, hits his check downs and can keep the defense honest). Does that keep him as the starter?
Does Harris finally live up to his potential? He's the type of QB that Canada would like behind center, but can he keep his focus and read defenses better?
Scott is a huge question mark, but he might be the best of all three. I wish he would have red shirted this year.
McMillian: (agreed with OP). Could he be useful in another role?
Brennan: (agreed with OP strictly on bulking him up)
Lowell: (agreed strictly for his health)

When did he play this year?

Shea Patterson comes to mind. 5* #1 overall QB last year redshirted until ole miss decided against it when Kelly got hurt.

Mop up duty against a Jacksonville State type opponent earlier in the fall is all I can remember. He might still have four years but it would have been posted by now if that happened.

Scott redshirted this year, ol buddy.

Where else could McMillan possibly play on this team besides qb? Has he played another position in HS or something?

Is this a serious question?

Etling
agreed. but to this day, he is most consistent qb that we've seen. not a burner type qb, but we know what to expect every game.

Harris
if we wants his job back, he needs to have a better offseason. i think his downfall this year was being complacent over the summer and not trying to improve considering no one knew what etling would offer. also, miles type offense to blame
