No one is going to address the fact that Trump has produced plenty of stuff outside of the US. If someone does that, I'll stop posting.

He admitted it himself.

He also said he would be changing trade deals, regulations, and tax policy that would make doing the business here more competitive.

So then why is he throwing GM, ford, and Carrier under the bus for following the rules, just like he did?

How about this. Since you deflected from your original post, why not post a whole new thread?

One that asks about the Trump Collection and where they're produced and why? Instead of using a fake made in China Maga hat assuming trump was profiting from that, use the real thing. Maybe a tie made in Mexico?

It's the same point and you know it. MAGA hats are made in the US. Trump suits are not.

Why does trump get to make some stuff here and some stuff not, but GM can't?

Because Trump is a populist.

No.

It's easier and cheaper to produce outside the US. Which he's said from day one. It's part of the whole "our leaders aren't smart and make bad deals". Part of the "bad deals" include short sighted regs, laws and high taxes.
Wanna know one big reason why "Scandinavian socialism" works? Because doing business there isn't as risky or expensive.

Wait.... do you want him to run his business or not?

My authentic red MAGA hat was the best $25 I've spent in a long time

So then why is he throwing US manufacturers under the bus for producing products cheaper overseas? He's doing it.

That's hypocritical, no?

It's one things to call for regulations. It's another thing to create a PR nightmare for a private company.

"Make in U.S.A.or pay big border tax!" Trump said on Twitter.

That's not throwing a company under the bus? That's not a threat? That does t impact GM's PR?

Well technically they're made in California and distributed through the Lafayette company.

quote:

The hats are made by Cali Fame of Los Angeles, which makes the Cali Headwear brand. Trump’s hat is based on the Patriot 5 model, and no surprise, it’s been a bestseller this year, though not a bestseller of all time. Cali Headwear co-owner Brian Kennedy told us that hats his company made for Von Dutch and Ed Hardy sold better.

Oh, and they are made in the USA.

Kennedy’s company, which his family has owned since 1977, has been making this style since the 1970s. Trump has been wearing it and selling it on his golf courses for years, but it’s been big with the hipster market since the summer (well, so has the "dad hat," he said).

"It’s just the same old story that what goes around comes around," Kennedy told us by phone from inside his factory, machines whirring in the background.

"But there’s news every day on the hat," he added.

From there, the hats are distributed by Ace Specialties LLC, a Lafayette, La., company that normally deals with gear for the oil and gas industry.

Why are you so against going back to American made products? You seem obsessed with keeping things chinese cheap.

This is a classic example of a post that the OP needs to walk away from. Tried for a gotcha thread and got blown up by the first response. Now is stubbornly trying to change the thread into something else.

Yes. Unfortunately he suffers from lib-prog delusion which causes him to believe he is so much smarter than everyone else that no one will notice.
