The EPA has changed the standards for everything that is "OK" 100s of times over the last 46 years. They always make it more stringent. Kind of like MADD demanding BAC tests of .10; then .08; now... .06
But maybe you can find a study from the EPA listing increased lung cancer disease among Alaskans due to particulates.
