Satellite internet isn't strong enough to run the PS4.
I had it growing up and could never play online games.

Yeah and the phone line doesn't run out here or at least not where I can get Internet.

Yeah, speeds have improved with satellite, but the big issue is still ping time. The bandwidth could be infinite, but it still takes hundreds of milliseconds to send and receive the signal.
On another subject: My parents are moving to Greensburg in the middle of nowhere. Satellite is their only option. They currently live in another rural area that had wifi service. It was only 1.5mbps, but no cap. My dad has this idea in his head that he's gonna cut the cord (directv bill, rather) and just use streaming devices. I'm finding that satellite services like hughesnet have despicably small caps, like 5-20GB (with a separate night-time data cap, like the days of cell phone plans with minutes). There doesn't seem to be a satellite option conducive to streaming, and I guess that's because there doesn't have to be.
