Mmcgrath, let's play a mind exercise, shall we? Say we can twist the Israeli arms enough to give the Palestinians a two state solution. Let's say they get a functional government and the Israelis bend over backwards for them. Then let's say right after recognition, Hamas and al Fatah on the Westbank decide to start lobbing rocket into Israel. Should the Israelis then mount an affirmative defense? Would you then have a problem if after the rocket attack that the Israelis move back into the Westbank and Gaza and clear the place out in order to protect themselves?
