Because they think they share our western values when reality is that they're more similar to Muslims than to Christians. Plus, Israel is the authoritarian rights version of utopia.. not much freedom, shoot Muslims, no real election process, etc.
They have some fine arse women though.

Not only that, but Israel has the evidence that 911 was an inside job perpetrated by Bush-Hitler and Darth Cheney, at the order of our Overlord space aliens, headed by Lothar The Magnificent. We wouldn't want that to get out.
