fewer NBA teams when it takes 25% of the qualified players to field a team versus the NFL?

(Bracing myself)

Based on rough estimates, ~9% college players play in the NFL and ~7% of college players play in the NBA...

Just because it takes fewer players to put on an event doesnt mean that if you put on more events it will make you more money.

There are a lot of studies done on which markets can support a team, and market saturation.

If you dont have enough good players and enough good markets then expansion wont work.

Because it's about the support the team gets in a city and it has nothing to do with how many players are on a team.

You could put 53 basketball players on the Lakers and it's not going to change the support the team gets.

I guess the leagues figured out that roughly 30 teams is the sweet spot. Doesn't matter how many players are on a team.

Put more in subject. Wouldn't have wasted a clicked on thread if more was known.
