I think most of these movies (except Blazing Saddles) could still be made today. Hollywood film producers aren't nearly as PC as this thread implies.
In reference to Silence of the Lambs, almost anything is fair game today in genre of horror movies

Blazing saddles may not be PC but it's not mean spirited. The butt of the jokes are the white people
