If the oil companies are responsible for coastal erosion they deserve to be sued.

They're not.

If JBE was really concerned about coastal erosion, he would be suing the army corps of engineers who designed and built the levees that gave us coastal erosion and putting whatever money he can get into the necessary funds and trusts but we all know he's not going to do that as there's no legit money and votes in that kind of noble thing to do and he has better plans for the kind of money he can get suing oil companies.

You mean the oil companies that complied with state approved and issued permits?

The real culprits is the Army Corps of engineers and I guarantee JBE won't do them anything. All these suits against oil companies is just to line the pockets of trial lawyers and their buddies.
