Amalfi Coast boat excursions.
Positano is the perfect base from which to explore the AC. As I said we spent a week there in 2014. The food is great. We ate in fantastic restaurants ranging from Michelin starred places to mom and pop pizza joints. Pizza was invented in this area and they take it seriously. The boat excursions were easy. From the beach in Positano we took the ferry to other towns along the coast. One day we went to Capri. We took the ferry to the town of Amalfi twice. From Amalfi you can take a short bus ride up the mountain to Ravello. We love the Cinque Terre too. The AC reminds us of a larger scale version of the CT.

Except for Rome which was hit or miss we found the food in Italy to be stellar. Northern Italian food is ridiculously good.

I think one of the best parts about CT, though is its small size. I love that place.
