Agreed on the size but if I'm gonna get all nostalgic I might as well go all out (might even put in a timer that makes you blow in the cartridge slot every 30 minutes 
).
I did a little digging last night and it looks like there's a way to use the existing controllers/ports and I'm thinking I'd prefer to have them fixed to the ports because the gun is useless. The only case modifications would be for the HDMI and then maybe a way to store the controllers inside the case when it's not in use or travelling.

Biggest problem with those is you limit the amount of games you can play on other emulators.
