-- At her first meeting with Russia as Sec of State, HRC presented a red "Power Up" button to a Russian diplomat. She suggested that this would signal a new beginning in good relations with Russia after Bush allegedly messed things up. The Russian was puzzled by the red button because the Obama Admin screwed up the button: it was supposed to say "Re-set".

-- Near the end of his first term, Obama told Medvedev that Obama would have much "more flexibility" after Obama's re-election for a second term. Obama got the word that the Russians were getting impatient with the slow pace of US nuclear disarmament, and this prompted his "more flexibility" comment. We would never have known about this but for the fact that Obama spoke into a hot mic.
