I expect Etling to be replaced. LSU should have a playmaker at QB. Etling is just all kinds of average.
LSU fans see average QB play and are content with having just that. What has Etling showed to say he will be much better? His average arm talent, his mediocre accuracy, his athleticism of just being good enough to evade in the pocket and pick up the occasional 3-5 yards?
I love what Harris, Scott, and Brennan bring to the table as far as talent, goes. Etling hasn't done enough to keep his spot. Hopefully a competition is started in the offseason and if it needs to continue into the first 2 games of the season, then it definitely should.

If Etling's accuracy is "mediocre", what is Harris's?
Harris has to make major improvements with accuracy, and Brennan coming in as a true freshman I wouldn't think will be ready to start, but Scott is a possibility, and yeah of course competition is open. particularly with an OC coming in with a new system.
