He took a salary which facilitated salary margin to get such a great staff.

As if he had a choice.

And hey, I'm sure, if LSU wins an SEC title because of those great coordinators, that O's attitude will be: "Hey, it worked! I'll keep drawing a low salary and will forego a raise!"

Yeah right.

I'm glad we hired great coordinators. Of course, the pressure will be on to do the same every 2-3 years. The business model is not viable.

That's why every major program that competes for conference and national titles needs an actual head coach--not a mascot.

He has the salary he has. It affords the staff to be as it is and to have Canada and Aranda. It is a CEO-style vision/plan. He is not Saban, so don't be delusional that your wish (for such a hire) will change what we have in him. He is who he is, and is flexible and embracing with humility the best way for him to lead LSU to wins. Embrace it if you are a Tiger fan, or sulk like someone who lost an election in irrelevancy. Your points are of no true value, aside from you stroking your ego and making points we all could make, if we also chose to wallow in nothingland. The only thing that matters is giving this approach full support. Or you can continue with your Jill Stein equivalency to show that you are unable to move forward, and value bitching about what could have been more than rallying behind the Tigers and our current reality. Line up and give reality a chance, or go be an Ole Miss fan or something like that.
