I don't know. My tapped phone line went out last night unexpectantly.

As long as he's still coaching for Pitt, and they get the hit, let him call who he wants....

Tory Carter,

I know he is being recruited as a FB but at 6'2" 255 lbs. any chance he could play some ILB?

I have also wondered about this, as Carter may well have size speed and toughness to be an effective linebacker.

????

Are you suggesting it isn't legal to make those calls? If you are you're mistaken. He can call, face time, text or email any prospect he wants.

That must be it. I couldn't make heads or tails of what he was trying to say.

Not a whole lot of teams out there that really use a guy like him I guess.

ugh, how many pro-style offenses in NCAA or even NFL for that matter that use effectively use the FB position. Most spread teams just add another WR or use the TE as a blocker in the formation. I don't see many prototypical highschool fullbacks getting many offers to play FB in college.

The #1 offense in the NFL absolutely does.

Saints, Ravens, Cowboys, there are many

NCAA: LSU, Mich, Pitt, Wisconsin, Stanford, Ga Tech, Penn St, etc. There are an abundance of them. Fewer than before, yes. But its not like the FB is extinct

So I may be wrong, but the whole issue with the chavis thing is he was still on our payroll and just using his 4 weeks of vacation when he was recruiting for Aggy. He used the vacation so once he offficially signed with A&M he wouldn't have as much as a buyout after a specific date. If Canada signed the papers and we paid the buyout and all that, if he's on our staff he can recruit for us. Now O gave him permission to coach the bowl game as he should, but if he's under contract with us he should be able to recruit for us.

Canada is 100% recruiting for LSU. He's already talked to Brennan and I'm sure Akers was his second call. Those 2 recruits could be what gets Canada his first crack at being a head coach.
