dreaux, what I don't understand is why there is not a checks and balances at each precinct of poll watchers who monitor the process. In Texas, the poll watchers can't interfere or do anything that disrupts the voting process, but they can't be prevented from watching, and subsequently challenging miscounts.
If there's a Republican poll watcher there to witness the count of ballots vs. the tabulated votes, then once those votes for the precinct are submitted to the SoS of Michigan, the poll watcher can then file an affidavit challenging the tabulation. That can be done easily in Texas and there's a procedure in place. If Michigan doesn't have this setup already (which would be surprising) then they should.
If Republicans aren't staffing every single precinct in future elections they obviously didn't learn the lesson from this election.
