Edited, didn't mean to say witcher. I don't think it's a bad game but I was bored playing it.
I can certainly see why someone wouldn't be a huge fan of the Witcher/Red Dead type games.
I love games that allow me to interact in a story over a long period of time. I like spending 30-40+ hours becoming attached to a character.
The Witcher more so than Red Dead though. The amount of ?'s on the map overwhelmed me at the start as well, but it was honestly a game I looked forward to playing for hours every day after work. IMO, it was sheer perfection. And even the DLC's were perfect. Some people just aren't into dedicating long playtimes to a game. They want something they can finish a week or so without playing for 6+ hours a day.
It was a game that didn't take itself too seriously that was created by a company CDPR who gave free DLC for the first like 12 weeks after release as well.
I would honestly give anything to go back and re-experience the Witcher 3 for the first time.
My most overrated games are the Uncharted series. I love the story, but the gameplay as a whole was not my style. I hated how linear everything was early on in the franchise and just couldn't pick it up later because they just made the linear levels more open, even though it was ultimately 'go here, we just won't make it a thin narrow lane in the jungle'.
SPOILERS FOR RED DEAD
Once John Marston is killed and you take over as Jack and get to take revenge on the men who killed your father, that was the most fulfilling RPG type mission I've ever completed. It was incredible. The fact that they even allow you to kill/lasso his wife and brother was just icing on the cake.

Game length does scare people off but that wasn't my problem. I had no issue with length in fallout 4 or 3. I played through persona 4 and really liked that. I also Had no Issue Putting Hundreds Of Hours InTo Destiny ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
