120k student loan doesn't help certainly. And I'll admit that is savings on top of retirement.
I'm not pretending it's not comfortable. It's completely and totally comfortable. But I am surrounded by people who make more and have more. They may also be in "my bubble" but there are plenty in another "bubble" above us. I just don't think you can lump people into that upper class at that level. Same as you can't lump someone making 30k (very livable wage although tough) with someone making 10k per year. The concept of upper/middle/and lower is more defined by the lifestyle it affords you. Can you put food on the table, can you shelter yourself, or do you have enough to start your own business or employ people. I think 200k is closed to middle class in that way than it is to a millionaire.
