In no way does Gore Tex "suck." Gore tex is overkill for most applications, and it has competitors in proprietary synthetics (many of which are dying off because they're as/more expensive than GTX).

It absolutely does suck. Just like all the rest of the waterproof "breathable" fabrics. The marketing from Gore is comical.
