Are there any employees that are at retirement and would like a severance package? I understand this wouldnt cut payroll for this year but it would be a step in fixing this for years to come.

If this has been going on the past 5 plus years, what have yall done before?

You work for a shitty company if they are looking to cut payroll to make their bonuses. I was slated for a 10% bonus at the end of last week, but because of a slow 4th Qtr I have been talking with the owner and we will probably skip bonuses altogether this year. Best case scenario is they will be 50% of what we planned to do before we re-evaluated the budget-to-actual figures.
