Any news on the new Mike VII?

Mike VI is really missed and I hope that we can secure a live tiger soon. It's important to LSU and the other tigers in the world due to the excellent care Mike receives from the LSU Vet School. Quite a lot was learned about cancer treatment in tigers and humans during Mike VI's unfortunate illness. We are very fortunate to have such a positive situation and have such a magnificant animal on campus. I'm not very concerned about PETA and their "protests."
And, as always, thank you to Dr Baker and his staff for the care they gave to Mike VI. Hopefully, you will find LSU their Mike VII.

Alleva will get a discounted tiger. So it will be a white tiger from Siberia.

I'm guessing they're trying to keep it quiet for a reason, let it go.

Alleva contacted several Tigers but all played LSU for more money. LSU is in negotiations with a house cat named Skippy and expect to announce him as the new Mike on Monday.

It took three months to get Mike VI when it was much easier to get a tiger from an approved rescue.
January-February at the very earliest, and you won't know anything until the tiger is actually on campus.

We all know those damn PETA operatives monitor TD to see what's going on with the Mike search so they can figure out how to thwart our efforts!

I completely agree with this statement and it is for a very good reason. But leaks are a fact of life these days........

Rumor is no tiger candidate has had a solid enough binder to become the next Mike.
