I have been enjoying the beer a lot the last couple of months. Excellent. So soft. Juicy. Great pale ale. I'm aware there was a "revamp" of the old beer. Not sure when this took place.

Yesterday I picked up a six pack. All black can. It looked like this:

The six pack was dated 10/24/16. Poured. Drank. Immediately noticed this beer tasted different. Way more bitter. And dank.

Then i realized the beers that i had been enjoying were not from a completely black can. But a silver can with a black label (silver trim on top). Like this:

The beer i bought was obviously post-revamp yet was not the same as the latest awesomeness.

What gives? Are they making two different beers under the same name now?

First revamp was juicy AF then mid September dialed the hops back significantly because of costs. They've tinkered back toward a better beer but not close to the juiciness you experienced in early September. I had a couple last night and they were significantly better than October batches

Always a solid beer, some batches better than others. One of my go to's.

I've had three batches of DH, I think. First finished too bitter for me, next was awesome, and this most recent one is missing some serious juice, almost too mild.

My fraternity brother works for them. If you are ever in Hattiesburg stop by a take a tour. Got trashed off their Crowd Control. Susie B is good too.
