I am talking about our government knowing about an attack yet allowing it to occur because the consequences of an attack increase your power and/or the bottom line of your biggest donors and supporters. I mean Michael Scheuer, former chief of the CIA Bin Laden Unit, has repeatedly stated that we had the capability to capture Bin Laden within weeks after the Embassy bombings and the USS Cole bombing but did nothing. We spend how many hundreds of billions of dollars yearly on defense and security, but can't catch a plot by several dozen third-worlders?

You'd have to believe that we have some truly evil MFers in charge on a large scale for that to happen. Now, MANY of them are crooked and will help themselves in many situations, but that would be on a whole other level.

No matter how much money is spent, people always become complacent and from time to time, terrorists will achieve what they set out to do. These types of terrorists go through with these kinds of actions on a daily basis where they're from. It's not like this is something our government is making up.
