Dolores was retracing her journey with William. She was physically there. The interactions, William, other people, etc.. were not. It was just a mirage of the past.

Jesus dude. Are you grasping at straws? There were many "narrator's" point of views of the show. Nobody was ever arguing this. There were scenes in the past from multiple host being remembered. It was a common theme.

The single time frame people were literally saying William could not be the Mib, they were during the same time period.
