What in the hell is so bad about deporting people who don't belong in this country? Why are folks like Graham so hell bent on catering to the illegals?

Screw him and everyone who thinks like him.

He isn't catering to illegals. He's trying to protect kids who were brought here as children without their consent. You should read what he is proposing. It isn't what you are railing against. It almost never is.

Are they here legally or not? Which is it?

Nobody help my cousins keep their home when my uncle moved them without consent.

It doesn't matter. If they are not legally in the U. S., then the U. S. has every right to deport all of them. Period.

Now, if you want to make exceptions for young adults, we can talk about that.

So called 'dreamers' should be allowed to stay if they can get sponsorship/guardianship from a LEGAL ADULT CITIZEN. The dreamers who stay, though do not have the right to citizenship. They can remain as legal residents so long as they don't commit a felony. No citizenship, no voting rights.

If you don't want to break up families, then the minor children can go back to the home country with mom and dad. If they were born in the U. S., they can re-enter as citizens at age 18. Mom and dad, on the other hand, may not re-enter until they apply for citizenship and wait their turn.

Oh, and employers who hire illegals need to be slapped with gigantic fines for hiring illegals, and those who do the hiring must be held civilly liable for hiring them. Do this, and we won't have to deport too many. Self-deportations will set an all-time record.

Bottom line: we have immigration laws on the books. We need to enforce them. We have tens of millions of adult citizens out of work. As long as we have the 10-20 million illegals here, those folks have less of a chance of getting a job, since illegals will work for much less.

The U. S. is not a charity. It is a country. This country, like every other country in the world, has every right to secure its borders and enforce immigration laws.
