Islam is more of a political ideology than a religion. They have a whole system of gevernance called sharia.
Good GOD it is getting thick up in here.
quote:
Halakha (/h??'l??x?/; Hebrew: ????????, Sephardic: [hala'?a]; also transliterated as halacha, halakhah, halachah or halocho) (Ashkenazic: [ha'lo?o]) is the collective body of Jewish religious laws derived from the Written and Oral Torah.
quote:
Judaism classically draws no distinction in its laws between religious and non-religious life; Jewish religious tradition does not distinguish clearly between religious, national, racial, or ethnic identities.[2] Halakha guides not only religious practices and beliefs, but numerous aspects of day-to-day life. Halakha is often translated as "Jewish Law," although a more literal translation might be "the way to behave" or "the way of walking." The word derives from the root that means "to behave" (also "to go" or "to walk").
Just a little FYI, Sharia also means road path. Both Judaism and Islam derive legal theories from their respective documents. Sharia, like Judaic law, is not a fixed document of legal procedure. It's malleable, having been interpreted in uncountable ways throughout its history.
