Dude, EVERYONE AND THEIR MOM KNEW LSU IS TALKING TO HERMAN. That's not the leak here, the leak here is that they are supposedly super close to making a deal.
LSU isn't going to leak that to a texas booster, Hermans camp, however, would love to get Texas off their butt and put our a firm offer to Herman ASAP.
I don't know how many times I have to say something that is obvious is obvious.

He hasn't accepted our offer. That's the point. Herman and his agent could engage us in discussion, commit to something in principal, and then leak it all to Texas.
Which is working - the latest 247 Horns update reports that the Texas AD and President are now operating with a greater sense of urgency...which is exactly what Herman wanted.
LSU is getting played.
